You’ll Only be Too Much for Those Who Aren’t Enough
Never Apologize for Being the Woman God Created You to Be
In the walls of life you’ll come across some people who will expect you to lower your standards, whether directly or indirectly. They may start off with great sweet intentions until they feel like your light is dimming theirs.
You may notice that when the conversation gets deeper—when you show the fullness of who you are—they pull back, uncomfortable with your strength, clarity, position in life, boundaries, morals, beliefs, or faith. People might assume you’ll settle for less than what you deserve simply to avoid conflict or to fit into their expectations. Don’t let anyone confuse meekness with weakness.
The word meek often gets misunderstood. Biblically speaking, being meek refers to a strength that is under control—someone who is humble, gentle, and patient, but not weak or passive. It describes a person who submits to God’s will and relies on His strength, rather than asserting their own power or pride.
In Matthew 5:5, Jesus says, “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.” This shows that meekness is a virtue tied to humility, trust in God, and inner strength.
You were not made to tiptoe around your faith, your purpose, or your worth. You should never be embarrassed for being “too much woman” for someone else’s comfort. God didn’t call you to blend in, live by gray lines or on the sidelines. Be direct, be bold, and don’t apologize for setting boundaries or clarifying intentions in any relationship—whether it’s family, friends, or others who may not understand the weight of what God has placed in your heart.
You don’t owe anyone the space they haven’t earned at your table. Your peace, your standards, and your purpose are sacred. If someone can’t handle your faith, your straightforwardness, or the depth of your heart, let them walk away. No one is worth the headache of shrinking yourself to make them feel bigger.
God fought for you. He restored you. He called you to be a woman of strength, clarity, and purpose—a woman who knows her worth and refuses to settle for less. Walk in that truth unapologetically.
Not everyone will be able to handle who you are—and that’s okay. The right people, the ones meant to walk beside you, will honor you for being exactly the woman God created you to be.
