As I look back on my own journey, I feel hopeful and empowered by how far I’ve come. We didn’t choose to receive this life; yet, it was given to us the moment we were conceived. Completely outside of our control we are already loved by God every awakening day. Now that we are here, we get to receive goodness and mercy with every breath we take. Isn’t that amazing? Grace means undeserved goodness, and it’s freely given, even when we don’t deserve it.
I know that we are living in a hopeless world that is desperately trying to find its way to New Hope. That’s what I bring to you today. In the midst of constant noise and inner restlessness, one of the most life-giving gifts we can receive is an honest, safe place to breathe, un-clutter the mind, and to refill with what is good and true.
