As for Me and My House: Praying for the Restoration of Families

Scripture: “But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15)

Take a moment and reflect before we pray:

Families are God’s first institution, formed before governments or churches. The home was designed to be a place of love, discipleship, and safety. Sadly, many families are fractured by division, distraction, and brokenness. The enemy knows that when families stand firm in the Lord, they become strongholds of faith for generations. That’s why he attacks marriages, strains parent–child relationships, and seeks to redefine what family means. But God is still the Restorer of homes (please keep the faith and believe that).

When we pray for families, we are asking Him to raise up households that serve the Lord with faithfulness, courage, and love. To raise beacons of light in a world that desperately needs godly examples. We are asking to shine His light in the darkness that comes from the pain and suffering. We are asking our Lord and Savior to save those He loves the most. God doesn’t not orchestrate pain, God is in the business to heal the pain. Our creator does not mean to break families. Let’s fight for them.

Prayer:

Lord, we dedicate families to You. You alone can do what no one on this earth can do. The enemy came to kill, steal and destroy, but the pain that sin caused, You oh Lord can restore. Strengthen marriages, heal generational wounds, and restore relationships where there is division. Protect children from harm and raise them to walk in truth. Let every home become a sanctuary where Your Spirit dwells and where faith is lived out daily. May these families have peace, unity, love, redemption and a provision. May the be able to see Your goodness in the land of the living. That families worldwide declare: “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” In Jesus’ name, amen!
