Life’s Opportunities & Blessings

By

Forgiveness is one of the hardest choices we’re called to make, but it’s also one of the most freeing. Holding on to resentment keeps us stuck, while letting go opens the door to healing, growth, and unexpected blessings. Sometimes, the opportunity we need most, like peace, restoration, a fresh start, comes the moment we choose to forgive. We don’t have to forget the hurt, we need to trust God to handle what we can’t and make something good out of what went wrong. Forgiveness clears the path for us to see life’s blessings more clearly and step into the opportunities God is giving us.

Every day, we’re handed a mix of moments of which some are planned, and others unexpected. Often, the best opportunities that come our way are disguised as interruptions to our plans and agendas, and blessings come in ordinary packaging that often times we overlook. It takes a grateful heart and open eyes to see them for what they are.

“Every good and perfect gift is from above” says James 1:17. This is a reminder that including the job or task we didn’t expect, the difficult conversation we were avoiding, the sad news we have received, or the processes that brought healing. Even the quiet mornings with no answer. God is always giving, always working, at times subtly, sometimes boldly.

Life is about finding what is working, what makes sense, and leaning with hope that way.

The challenge is to stay alert. Opportunities often require courage. Blessings may demand patience. But when we trust that God is in the details, we can approach life with more hope and less fear.

Starting new it’s not easy, but it is possible.

Prayer:

God, help me see what You’re doing in my life today. Give me the wisdom to recognize Your blessings and the courage to step into the opportunities You place before me. Amen.
