The Courage to Pour Out

By

Never be afraid to share your story.
Not for those who will judge—
Their voices are fleeting,
Their opinions often shallow,
Their intentions unknown.
Your story is not for them.

It’s for the ones walking through their own storms,
The ones desperate for a glimmer of hope,
Looking for someone real.
To show them the way forward.
Your honesty could be the hand that lifts someone
From despair into new hope.

I’ve been caught between holding on and seeking strength to finally let go.
Throughout the years I’ve attempted reconciliation—
Tenderly hoping, cautiously believing,
That what was broken might be restored,
Would be made new.
But as it is with life, it feels as though we’re being pulled apart from those we love.
Life seems unfair, extremely as a fragile thread fraying beneath my fingertips.

It brings tension—and the ache of uncertainty—
I’ve learned that writing is my refuge.
As I pour out I am refilled.

The paper or new page on a computer screen,
a place where the spinning thoughts settle,
Where heart-wrenching feelings find release.

Here, I meet myself—the raw, unfiltered version—
Through prayer I meet God, who takes what I pour out
And fills me anew.

As a mother to three—
Who seek to discover themselves,
Emerging adults navigating their first steps into the world—
I carry the weight of their needs, their questions, their fears, yet answers remain unclear.
Their uncertainties resurfacing,
I long to guide them, yet some days,
I barely feel my own foundation beneath myself… seeking for God’s guidance to remind me how to stand.

Balancing their needs, my calling, my career,
And the lingering ache of my own heart, why does this pain live so near…?
Is a tightrope I didn’t choose but must walk anyway.
And yet, somehow in my transparency, I find strength.
Because sharing my story reminds me
That I am not alone—God is with and my stronghold.

Let me encourage you:
Don’t hide your heart.
Your fear or your tears. Pour it out.

Write, speak, cry, pray.
Let the world hear your truth, make them aware of your pain,
Because someone out there needs your courage
To awaken their own.

Even now, as I wrestle with the unknown,
I trust that God is near,
If the road leads to something new,
I know He is crafting beauty from my rawest and most painful truth.

Trust and believe that He will do the same for you 🤍

Be blessed and be well!
